Situated along the Arno river and close to the foothills of the Monti Pisani, House is a commercial and manufacturing center of great importance to the flourishing furniture industry that has gone over time in addition to the agricultural sector.

The Permanent Exhibition of Furniture, established in 1922 in the seat of the Workers' Association, houses the Museum of Arts and Crafts of Wood collecting objects, tools and machines used in laboratories and workshops, with the aim of promoting the history and enhance the value related to the craftsmanship and tradition of wood.

Among the many traces of the medieval history of the town, to see the church of Santa Maria Assunta and San Giovanni, around which developed the first urban center, and the thirteenth-century walls, still partially preserved even with following reconstruction. Among the many events that take place periodically we remind the traditional Mercantico, which is held on the first Sunday of each month from October to June, during which you can admire antiques and local arts and crafts.
