PICTURE OF PIAZZA ARMERINA ENNA SICILIA OF 1929
The photo was taken in 1929, after a nice inter holidays of snowfall.
Probably the photographer is one of two photographers very good at business in that period and that they left many testimonies. In addition to the huge body of the Cathedral, the Jesuit College under left pointed Bell Tower of St Francis on the right of Saint Vincent still right, you notice that of s. Domenico, now nonexistent because felled for threatening to collapse over the years ' 50.
The last one on the right is that of s. Giovanni Evangelista and also stand in the eyes in the foreground left the three crosses of Calvary, that the absence of safety railings of sports grounds (then there was no sports ground) allows us to see them.
Surely the photo has been taken with your back to the Church of Sant'Ippolito, but looking good perspective, a little to the left of the main entrance thereof.
¹ in the 1950s to threat of collapse will be shot down.
